Tel Aviv, IL & London, UK: August 7, 2024HiBob, the company behind Bob, the modern HR platform transforming the world of work, today proudly announces it has been named to the Forbes 2024 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world, published by Forbes in partnership with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures.

“I am overjoyed to have made the 2024 Forbes Cloud 100 list for the third year running,” says Ronni Zehavi, CEO and Co-Founder of HiBob. “Since our last recognition by Forbes, we have introduced a hiring module and acquired a payroll solution, significantly enhancing our platform’s capabilities. We have also grown to over 1,000 dedicated ‘Bobbers’ and doubled our customer base, with more than 4,100 companies now relying on Bob for a comprehensive HR solution. I am immensely proud of these achievements and grateful for this recognition from Forbes. We continue to innovate and expand with ambitious targets that will enable us to become the largest HR software provider in our category.”

For the ninth consecutive year, the Cloud 100 reviews submissions from hundreds of cloud startups and private companies each year. The Cloud 100 evaluation process involved ranking companies across four factors: market leadership (35%), estimated valuation (30%), operating metrics (20%), and people & culture (15%). For market leadership, the Cloud 100 enlists the help of a judging panel of public cloud company CEOs who assist in evaluating and ranking their private company peers.

“For nine years, the Forbes Cloud 100 list has recognized the leading private cloud companies in the world, from AI to work software, infrastructure to security,” said Alex Konrad, the Forbes editor of the Cloud 100. “This year’s list is the strongest group of standouts yet, with revenue, valuations and growth that will eventually make for historic IPOs.”

“Across nine years of data, we have yet to see as competitive of a cohort as the 2024 Cloud 100. The list value reached $820 billion this year, the highest list value in Cloud 100 history,” said Mary D’Onofrio, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “Unsurprisingly, AI is now the highest valued category. We continue to be excited by how AI companies are scaling rapidly, transforming the cloud, and propelling the next wave of growth, driving a massive year-over-year jump in market cap of the list of over $150 billion.

“The past year, our industry has seen a generational step forward in innovation, and with AI leading the charge, we are witnessing one of the most important platform shifts in decades,” said Paul Drews, managing partner at Salesforce Ventures. “The Cloud 100 list represents the best of the best, and we’ve never been more excited about what the future holds, not only for the cloud but for the entire technology industry. We are proud of what these founders and their communities have already accomplished, and look forward to seeing how they continue to transform the industry in the future.”

The Forbes 2024 Cloud 100 and 20 Rising Stars lists are published online at www.forbes.com/cloud100. Highlights of the list appear in the August/September 2024 issue of Forbes magazine.

This year, the CEOs of The Cloud 100 and the 20 Rising Stars companies will be honored with a digital content launch, as well as at the exclusive Cloud 100 Celebration hosted by Bessemer Venture Partners, Salesforce Ventures, and Forbes. A special thank you to the event sponsors, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Bank of America, Cooley, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Nasdaq.

New York, US & Tel Aviv, Israel –  09 April, 2024: Nucleus Research, a global provider of technology insights and analysis recognizes HiBob as an Accelerator in the 2024 Enterprise HCM Technology Value Matrix for the first time, and has also named it Leader in their SMB HCM Technology Value Matrix.

From a manual, legacy system to a cutting-edge digital HR platform

Hamilton, New Zealand and London, UK -13 March 2024:  HiBob, the modern HR platform that is delivering remarkable work experiences for dynamic, mid-sized businesses and their employees, is delighted to announce that Gallagher has selected HiBob’s next-generation HCM Bob to create one global single source of truth.

The rationale behind implementing Bob was to get access to important people data quickly and easily, going beyond basic administrative information and gain richer insights for informed decision-making. The organisation also sought to boost productivity through automation.

Gallagher is a privately held company, proudly powering innovative security and animal management technology solutions from New Zealand to the world. Founded in 1938 in Hamilton, its solutions are available in 160 countries. Over 85 years later, it is still headquartered there and now has a team of 1300 people globally, working with customers, partners, and communities delivering on its promise: to protect what matters most.

“People automation goes beyond simplifying tasks; it assists leaders and organisations in generating greater value. When people professionals approach the transition to digital tools with care, they enhance the efficiency of work, particularly for employees. This not only increases workplace satisfaction but also aligns with smart business practices, ultimately resulting in improved productivity,” says Sam Bester, Group People Operations Lead at Gallagher.

The transformation at Gallagher includes the adoption of Core HR technology, Compensation and Talent modules which offer an engaging information system for employees and managers alike. Emphasising user-friendliness, Gallagher sought a system easy for employees to use, featuring a single sign-on solution for seamless access to all people services. Additionally, the system provides managers and leaders with a comprehensive 360-degree view of their teams, supporting better decision-making and leadership.

Sam concludes: “Bob caught our attention with its colourful, warm and user-friendly interface that practically navigates itself. When our team tested it in a sandbox environment, even though it was a trial, we eagerly anticipated the daily kudos and workflow notification messages every morning. It was both engaging and refreshing. We were pleased that HiBob valued our feedback and made improvements based on it. The support is noticeably excellent, making it feel like a top-tier partnership between two global performers that heralds great things are yet to come.”

Ronni Zehavi, CEO at HiBob said:“Many companies struggle with outdated, manual processes that lack the necessary information to understand employees’ needs, especially in multinational or multi-site organisations that also have diverse or flexible work models. We’re so happy that the people at Gallagher found in Bob a centralised solution which meets all their requirements. We are beyond delighted to be chosen as their HR tech partner and are eager to continue helping them experience the positive impact of a people-centric HR platform.”

About Gallagher

The Gallagher story started over 85 years ago when a horse called Joe took too much of a liking to using a car as a scratching post and founder Bill Gallagher Senior scratched his head for a solution.

He devised a cunning electrical circuit that delivered a pulse whenever the horse rocked the vehicle. This quickly stopped the horse from scratching – and sparked the idea for his electric fence solution.

This was in the 1930s. Today, Gallagher delivers innovative tech solutions across the security and animal management industries. The company’s tech protects palaces to prisons, wildlife parks to dairy farms, government sites to global headquarters, and much more.

The company is committed to giving back to the communities it operates in – with sponsorship ranging from the arts to sports, education to healthcare, and much more.

The acquisition strengthens HiBob’s modern human capital management offering, delivering an ‘all-in-one’ experience with embedded payroll to customers with UK operations

London, UK –  13 February, 2024:  HiBob, the company behind Bob, the market leading HR platform in the UK, is pleased to announce the acquisition of innovative cloud-based UK payroll automation platform Pento, subject to closing conditions. Following the release of HiBob’s Payroll Hub in 2021, the acquisition represents the next step in the company’s payroll offering. It will enable HiBob to provide an ‘all-in-one’ experience with payroll as part of the Bob offering, allowing UK businesses to efficiently solve payroll complexity.

Pento leverages real-time payment automation to deliver a fast, simplified, and error-free approach to payroll management. The company’s forward-thinking, self-service approach to payroll stands in stark contrast to the error-prone manual processes prevalent with traditional payroll processes.

Headquartered in London, Pento has reduced payroll processing from weeks to minutes for more than 400 UK customers, many of which are already using the Bob platform. Pento’s technology will enable HiBob to expand its modern approach to human capital management into payroll, enhancing its full-suite capabilities for customers with UK operations looking to break away from cumbersome legacy payroll solutions.

A unified, modern ‘all-in-one’ solution offers benefits beyond HR and Finance. It ensures accurate data, compliance, and self-service capabilities, benefiting all employees. The seamless integration and centralized data access enhance user experience, fostering a culture of happiness, productivity, and retention for overall business success.

“Payroll and HRIS work hand-in-hand with strong synergies. The ultimate goal is an ‘all-in-one’ solution, where all aspects of people management are handled from a single platform. The deeper the integration, the better the overall experience,” said Ronni Zehavi, CEO and Co-Founder at HiBob.

Zehavi concludes: “Traditional payroll processes are time-consuming, error-prone, and difficult to manage. Modern businesses need their HR and payroll teams focused on people, not on manual work. With this acquisition, we are providing our thousands of customers in the UK with more flexibility and ease of use in how they manage their number one asset – their people. Pento’s modern approach, along with their strong founders and proven track record, make them a solid complement to our business. We are thrilled to be welcoming their team to HiBob.”

“We are incredibly proud of what the Pento team has achieved over the years, and this milestone is no different. We have built the best-in-class payroll offering that modern businesses deserve, and can’t wait to see the opportunities it will unlock when we pair this with the best HRIS on the market,” said Jonas Bøgh Larsen, co-founder and CEO at Pento. “By offering a true ‘all-in-one’ solution, companies will be able to automate the entire payroll workflow from start to finish, saving Finance, People, and Payroll teams valuable time, and giving employees a much better pay experience. We are thrilled to join HiBob to give our shared customers an integrated offering that is levels above other solutions in the market, and are excited to continue to make payroll stress-free for even more businesses.”

Deutsche Bank served as strategic advisor for HiBob and Menalto Advisors was the advisor for Pento on the transaction.
